Kingswood circular

26 September 2007

Anne leads this morning walk for John, off in sunny Greece, while we find our weather wet and jolly cool.
.
However the company is fine, the forecast is set to improve, so hey-ho, off we go through Kingswood village
.
Who wants to go abroad when we've got this sunny spot here?
.
Bet there aren't many houses like this abroad - or here for that matter!
.
Autumn is nearly here, with swelling acorns
.
We spot the multi-million mansion near Wotton
.
We ponder whether we would like to live here
.
Luckily for the owner, most of us are content with our lot
.
Oh dear! Approaching Charfield the path diagonally across the field is hidden by a crop of maize
.
We circumvent the obstruction
.
And walk down a well cleared path in the same field (on the right). Why is the left one not open we wonder.
.
The sun really emerges on our return towards Kingswood
.
Shall we join them?
.

A lonely stile is avoided by all
.
Except for Bernard, who does not wish to trespass off the line of the path! We return to Kingswood considerably warmer than when we started
.

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our walks programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the national Ramblers' Association.
