Purton and Sharpness

28 August 2007

In warm but overcast weather thirteen walkers turned up for Ann's walk starting from Purton.
..
We gather in the car park where Ann is waiting
.
We set off past Purton Church
.
We head towards the only hill, can we call this a hill?
.
We pause at the top for Ann to impart some interesting facts

Heading off again, fortunately not through the maize
.
Not a Pelican crossing but a cow crossing
.
We are lucky, walking alongside maize again
.

Heading towards Sharpness Docks

We pause for a drink of water and are joined by some horses

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our walks programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the national Ramblers' Association.
