Purton Hulks walk

7 July 2007

Fourteen members met on the River Severn foreshore at Purton for a tour of the boat hulks remains which are now of historic interest. Our tour guide Marine Historian Paul Barnett has researched all the hulks over the last eight years and gave an extremely interesting and thorough tour. Paul holds regular tours and can be contacted on e-mail at barnadillo@aol.com or tel:-07833 143231. He has two pages of pictures and information about the hulks on www.morturn.com

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our walks programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the national Ramblers' Association.
