But it's no surprise to the walkers, as he has put on a very interesting walk, "A walk back in time along part of the Thames & Severn Canal" .
		We meet in the car park of the Tunnel Inn .
		Where John explains the history of the Inn .
		With old photos as an excellent visual aid. Here we learn that the Inn used to be three storeys high before a fire and subsequent rebuilding .
		We look over the top of the Coates portal .
		Where we view the canal as it exits the two and a quarter mile long tunnel .
		Then, after stopping to discuss the weather with a local .
		We set off through the woods, roughly following the line of the canal as it passes through the tunnel .
		The weather looks a bit better .
		At the moment .
		At least the footpath is easy to follow! .

		We walk down the Sapperton Valley .

		Then up through the woods back to Sapperton to follow our outward route back to the cars .

		As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat.
