Cowley in the Rain -

7 March 2006

"Not a day for taking photos but I thought I would do something if only to let our members know that South Cotswold Ramblers don't stop for bad weather. There were only four of us on the walk but as we breathed our sighs of relief at the end we all admitted that we were glad to have walked," reports Richard.

After overcoming some doubts we set off in the pouring rain, led by Patrick
At least mobile phone reception should be good around here
The rain is getting worse
View towards Nettleton Bottom
Our Leader finds a sheltered spot for coffee but we vote to move on
Still raining
At least the sheep don't mind the rain
Neither does he
Cowley Manor - and a dry warm pub to follow!
Walkers who don't do (heavy) rain will be pleased to note that Angela and Patrick are proposing to lead this undoubtedly delightful walk again in September!

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our walks programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the national Ramblers' Association.
