Owlpen and Nympsfield -

22 February 2006

Ray leads 14 members from Uley on another mid week walk.

We set off on a bitterly cold day across a rather interesting stone bridge
Towards Owlpen Manor and Church
We pause to take in the view of the front of the Manor
While Brian is lurking behind a hedge
Discussion takes place as to why a door has been put halfway up the tower
Before we climb to the top of the hill to be shepherded over a quite busy road
Then it is single file across a field to ...
... Nympsfield church where we stop for coffee
Exiting the church after coffee refreshed and warmer
Then back down the valley
Towards Uley and the cars

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our walks programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the national Ramblers' Association.
