Winchcombe -

18 February 2006

Bernard leads us from the centre of Winchcombe.

We arrive at Winchcombe to find a farmers' market in the car-park. The stalls are piles high with tempting produce.
We walk through the village and past Soudley Castle.
We are surprised to see the hunt approaching.
They pass us by - although it is not the last we are to see of them.
We ascend the hill - a steep climb, but there are beautiful views in the sunshine.
A backward glance at the way we have walked.
We look back at Winchcombe.
We stop for refreshments on a very cold roller!
Winter aconites are blooming in the spring sunlight.
We descend to Winchcombe again, seeing a large fog bank in the distance.
Thank you to Angela for photos and captions
top As you can see, we sometimes go exploring further afield. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our walks programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the national Ramblers' Association.
