Hyde Wood and the Daneway -

28 January 2006

Richard led a small select band of ten but a good time was had by all in spite of the freezing weather.

We start off in a biting wind
With views across the valley
A pause for contemplation
A surplus of yellow arrows on the Bathurst Estate
That makes our position clear
A bit more welcome here
As we stagger out
Of the Daneway
Along the canal
Ride a white swan
Bakers Mill
Canal roundhouse
View along the canal
Prize for guessing what Jim said to Bernard
Another pint and we might have broken it
Struggling up the last hill before the last hill before last
At least the views over Chalford were inspiring
Photos and captions thanks to Richard
top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our walks programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the national Ramblers' Association.
