Corse and the Whitmore Way -

21 January 2006

Photos of Norman and Marie's walk on Saturday (about 6 miles north of Gloucester).
You will see that there was a good turnout and that the sun shone on the righteous.

We set out to walk part of the Whitmore Way...
... only to encounter a height restriction for tall ramblers ...
... and an imposing country house with ha ha
But we are on the right track.
And stop for coffee ...
... And a chat
There follows a difficult downhill bit ...
With a queue for a stile ...
And a demonstration as to how it should be done
Interested observers
There had to be a ploughed field
In sight of home
Typical countryside
Back at the cars after an invigorating walk

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know not only the South Cotswolds, but slightly further afield on occasion. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our walks programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the national Ramblers' Association.
