Leonard Stanley and Coaley Peak -
29 October 2005
Pictures of Bernard's walk from Eastington (9 miles) or Leonard Stanley (6 miles) up to Coaley Peak and Nympsfield. Pictures and captions from Angela and Patrick.
The main group started at Eastington, but three joined at the Priory Church, Leonard Stanley Church.
Our leader, Bernard, tells us about the church.
Gipsy Lane. A steep path leads up the Cotswold scarp.
Incised path. It seems hard to believe that a car scramble used this route in the 1930s.
Nympsfield. The wind was blowing hard on the top!
A large meal. Margaret was a little taken aback when she saw the size of her meal!
After lunch, suitably refreshed, we prepare for the homeward walk.
We admire the view before taking the downward path to Leonard Stanley.

Non-members are very welcome on up to 3 walks to see if they like them before deciding whether to join. See our walks programme and ring the leader if you have any questions.
