Wotton-under-Edge -
22 October 2005
Pictures of Anne's excellent walk from Wotton-under-Edge, by Kingswood, through Renishaw grounds and back up to Wotton via Bradley Green. Brilliant pictures and captions from John, Angela and Patrick.
To start with the clouds look ominous...
...and there's plenty of mud to avoid in the gateways.
Views descending from Wotton to Kingswood.
We notice this house which shows many signs of sinking foundations.
Sun trying to break through.
Many of the stiles are difficult to negotiate. We really do feel like elderly people on this one!
The Roundhouse on junction of Wotton and North Nibley roads, probably once a toll house.
The group pause for a photo...
...and to say hello to the locals.
By the time we get to Renishaw the sun is out so is the coffee and bananas.
Last view of the leaves before the fall.
Well at least I know where to get my Christmas holly!
Different view of the New Mills, the Renishaw's HQ.
Bradley Green is reached just before the climb back into Wotton-under-Edge.
One mention of Christmas and they were off!
The sunshine is really warm as we return to Wotton.
Anne, our leader brings us safely back.
Our clouds definitely had a silver lining .
Non-members are very welcome on up to 3 walks to see if they like them before deciding whether to join. See our walks programme and ring the leader if you have any questions.
