Nympsfield and Uley
- 16 April 2005
Thanks to John for these pictures and captions.
The group of around 29 walkers, leader Olivia, gather by the Rose & Crown in Nympsfield.
We leave Nympsfield down the first of many descents.
After passing Partstreet Farm we see the Wind Turbine at Lynch Knoll (produces about 1% of the electricity used in the Stroud area) .
Just a picture of the Cotswold landscape.
Not many walks pass through scrap yards but this one seemed to (Tinkley Farm).
A descent through woods that will soon be covered in Bluebells.
Talking of Bluebells (Hyacinthoides)..................
Tea break in the woods - find a seat wherever you can!
Primroses (Primula vulgaris)
{short description of image}
Nice to see the farmer leaving a path through theOilseed Rape (Canola).
We pass St Giles Church Uley on the left walking back up to Nympsfield.
The final stile back into the village of Nympsfield.
St Bartholomew's Church, Nympsfield.
