Our start and finish - the bangers and mash looked pretty good!
Mike our leader for the day gives us a pep talk.
Off we go through delightful Cotswold countryside.

Recent reports of Britain's disappearing hedgerows confirmed!!
We catch our first glimpse of Westonbirt House.
Mike tells us a potted history of the place, which used to belomg to the Holford family, founders of the famous Arboretum nearby, and now a girls school. See the Westonbirt School website to read all about it.

Mike and Kathy brave golfers teeing off - the rest of us hide behind tree.
A close up view of Westonbirt House from the adjacent churchyard.
We pass the polo field on our return journey, occupied by herring gulls today. Note the fairy ring in the foreground.
