Nailsworth and Shipton's Grave - 22 August 2004
(Thank you to John for the photos and captions)
Our Leader for the Day, Peter outlines the mission ahead.
Climb up towards Shipton’s Grave Lane, so named, apparently, after a local man who's grave lies somewhere along the lane, who executed for stealing sheep.
A muddy Shipton’s Grave Lane taken whilst sliding off the bank into the mud hence the picture quality!
Picture taken whilst falling flat on face due to muddy hole!!
A rabbit’s eye view of the way ahead.
A very large mushroom/toadstool found along the way
Walking along Ledgemore Bottom with Ledgemore Wood on the right.
We pause in Tetbury lane, the old road between Nailsworth and Tetbury.
Peter leads us back into Nailsworth after an excellent walk in surprisingly good weather.
