Cranham and Sheepscombe -
9 June 2004
.
We set off across Cranham Common, admiring the wild flowers, including orchids and yellow rock roses.
Near the Ebworth Centre we can't resist a photo by "The Spirit of the Woods" - he looks pretty benign.
We catch a glimpse of Painswick (middle distance) over the Sheepscombe valley.
And as we walk through Trench Hill gardens, we discover it is their open day! So we stay for half an hour's tour.
A wonderful garden ...
... with views over Painswick.
Lots of features of interest ...
Take it easy!
Amazing serendipity - just what walking is all about - you never know what you will see.
Thanks to John and Mike for their photos
