It is
initially a cloudy cool morning as we set off from Wotton. |
Peter leads
us steeply up. He gives us chance to breathe as he explains about the
geology of the area, and its effect on the vegetation. |
Even steeper
now! |
Wait for us,
Peter. Seriously he did wait, and gave us a good chance to catch our
breath before a fairly level walk through the woods. |
Eventually
we reach the Tyndale Monument near North Nibley, before returning. |
Peter points
out the hidden hill fort of Brackenbury Ditches. |
The early
spring leaves are a delight. |
A fallen
tree causes Margaret no problem, |
A job for
someone soon, as this is a bridlepath on the Cotswold Way. |
Wotton Hill
with its extensive views makes a fitting climax to the walk. |
The sun
comes out properly as we descend to the car park. |
