Uley and Owlpen- December 2003
Our third ever weekday walk is around the lovely Uley and Owlpen valley.
Kathy (in green) leads the way near the old Grist Mill.
We pass Owlpen Manor and its nearby Church.
We pass right in front of the Manor House.
Everywhere we look there are views. Here you can see Uley nestling in the valley beneath the ancient Uley Bury.
After heavy overnight rain there is a problem crossing the stream.
But our friend doesn't seem to mind the weather!
Three Alpaccas give us the once over as we have our drink stop overlooking Owlpen Manor.
As we head back towards Uley the sun comes out brilliantly.
The walk goes to the far end of the village, where we head up towards Downham Hill, before turning right along the foot of the hill.
Late apples are still on the tree, even though the leaves have gone.
Uley Church comes into view once more as we head back to the start point. Another lovely walk!
