Frampton on Severn -
December 2003
Kathy led us on 27th December for a walk around Frampton to include lakes, river and canal. It had been raining heavily overnight so there was no shortage of water!
Smile for the camera!
The walk went along the towpath of the Sharpness Canal and past the village church.
Through the avenue.
Bill spotted some interesting birds by the lakes....
... including these cormorants perched in the trees.
Kathy waits for us to catch up near the impressive gates to Frampton Court.
Steady as you go - the drainage ditches are pretty deep around here and the bridge a bit greasy.

Can anyone identify this fungus - a rather lurid yellowy colour?
A charming scene - peace will soon return once we have all passed by.
It rains heavily on the last half mile and the camera is put away - but just before this we pass the Willow Trust boats, used for taking disabled people out for the day. Link to the Willow Trust website
