Notgrove - October 2003
About 25 miles away from our area we enjoyed a day walk in the North Cotswolds chosen and sussed out by Margaret and John.
John waits while the others catch up after setting out from the tiny settlement of Notgrove.
A delightful coffee stop at Hazleton, some of the ladies sitting back to back on a very wide bench. Note John's new map case - very impressed were we!
Pampas grass extraordinaire!
John purposefully striding out towards the picnic spot on the far hillside.
Coming into Turkdean, another extremely quiet hamlet.
We followed a track for about a mile, with first Autumn colours showing.
Spectacular colour on an exceptionally clear day - a cool easterly breeze made ideal walking conditions.
Another catch up stop, this time in Cold Aston.
Magnificent trees in the village.
Soon we were crossing the last field to emerge by our cars back in Notgrove. A great day out!
