About 25 miles away from our
area we enjoyed a day walk in the North Cotswolds chosen and sussed out
by Margaret and John. |
John waits while the others
catch up after setting out from the tiny settlement of Notgrove. |
A delightful coffee stop at
Hazleton, some of the ladies sitting back to back on a very wide bench.
Note John's new map case - very impressed were we! |
Pampas grass extraordinaire! |
John purposefully striding
out towards the picnic spot on the far hillside. |
Coming into Turkdean, another
extremely quiet hamlet. |
We followed a track for about
a mile, with first Autumn colours showing. |
Spectacular colour on an
exceptionally clear day - a cool easterly breeze made ideal walking
conditions. |
Another catch up stop, this
time in Cold Aston. |
Magnificent trees in the
village. |
Soon we were crossing the
last field to emerge by our cars back in Notgrove. A great day out! |
