We made the journey to the
other side of Cheltenham for a lovely 6.5 mile walk from Winchcombe -
yet another dry day in a remarkable year! |
We pose here on the Wardens
Way, near Sudeley Castle. |
Passing the ruins. |
Much of the route was on a
private road with public bridleway status. |
A good opportunity for a
chat.
The distant hillside is
Cleeve Common. the highest in Gloucestershire. |
Bernard leads the way. |
We give way to a happy group
of cyclists pedalling nineteen to the dozen to avoid getting off their
machines up the hill. |
Returning towards Winchcombe
we meet an expired tractor almost blocking our way. |
We manage to navigate around
it before making our way back to Winchcombe, where some of us enjoyed a
pleasant lunch at the Plaisterers Arms. |
