Cam Peak to Coaley Peak - July 2003
For his first walk as leader, Derek took us on a delightful tour of the area, with views everywhere.
From Cam Peak we skirted Dursley towards Owlpen and Uley. Cam Peak is on the left with Long Down on the right.
Crowds of poppies in the corn.
Towards Uley with Downham Hill and Uley Bury on our left.
Through a field with peaceful Canada geese.
Uley Church with the Bury behind.
Up to Nympsfield for a good lunch - the men are there first!
Through Coaley Peak nature reserve ...
... to obtain magnificent views over the vale to the river Severn. What a shame the weather had discouraged others from walking.
Derek, with Cam Long Down in the middle distance and Stinchcombe Hill on the horizon.

Our new leaders!
