Painswick and Edge - June 2003
A beautiful morning for a walk from Painswick.
By the time Pam had led us to Edge village, the sun was really shining strongly and the farmer was making hay! We had good views over to the Forest of Dean.
Eric chats to Jacky as we wade through the hay.
Tim points to May Hill, the bump on the horizon, which the Group climbed in May. See the pictures if you have time.
You may be able to spot the tall spire of Painswick Church, centre right.
We enjoyed crossing Edge Common, where the orchids were in full bloom. Can't you just feel the heat of the sun?
A pretty corner of Painswick.
Aproaching the centre.
Nearly there now, and a lovely summer's morning walk completed.
