The Golden Valley March 2002

Home Walks photos Archive 2002	Pam led us on a lovely varied 5 mile walk from Frampton Mansell. After many very wet walks recently, the bright weather ensured a good turn out of 27 walkers. Afterwards many of them enjoyed a pleasant lunch in the Crown Inn.
	Here we are in the Golden Valley.
	A wonderful crisp morning, with deep shadows and brilliant sunlight.
	To the left, the former reservoir for the Thames and Severn Canal, now a nature reserve. To the right, the course of the canal. There are ambitious plans to reopen this over the coming years.

	The canal is to the left of the walkers, and the water you see is a winter floodmeadow, overspill water from the River Frome.
